Nima Sahar

SLP

Inaam (Nima) Sahar is a registered Speech-Language Pathologist with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO), a certified Hanen Speech-Language Pathologist, and the Owner and Senior Therapist of The Speech Solution Centre. With over 25 years of experience, she specializes in supporting and providing speech therapy to children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), down syndrome, motor speech disorders, global developmental delays, children who are deaf or hard of hearing, as well as those with other developmental delays and needs. Nima is known for her warm, family-centered, and culturally responsive approach, partnering closely with parents to build meaningful communication skills that extend beyond the therapy room and into everyday life. She has led multiple More Than Words® parent programs and is deeply committed to empowering families with practical, evidence-based strategies that foster lasting progress. In addition to her clinical work, she serves as a Clinical Educator with the University of Toronto’s Speech-Language Pathology Department and was the recipient of the University of Toronto’s first Clinical Educator Award for Teaching Excellence. Fluent in English and Arabic, Nima proudly supports families from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

Amanda is a Communicative Disorders Assistant with 19 years of experience supporting children with extra support needs and their families across clinical, school, and community settings. Amanda is skilled in implementing neurodivergent-affirming, evidence-based speech and language interventions. She has experience in motor speech, social communication and language-based speech and language therapies. She strives for strong collaboration, cultural responsiveness, and the ability to build supportive partnerships with families, colleagues, and community organizations.

Jane Sfeir

My name is Jane, and I am a trilingual Speech-Language Pathologist registered with College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO). I speak English, French, and Arabic, and I have over 10 years of experience supporting children and their families. I completed both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Speech-Language Pathology at Université Saint-Joseph in Beyrouth. I work with children and teens with a wide range of communication needs, including language delays, speech sound difficulties, social communication challenges, fluency, literacy, and executive function skills. I also have experience supporting children with Developmental Language Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder in both school and clinic settings. I strongly believe in a holistic, child-centered and family-focused approach, and I enjoy working closely with families and other professionals to help each child build confidence and reach their full potential.

Lara is a Speech-Language Pathologist who brings warmth, curiosity, and care into every session. She is fluent in both Arabic and English and values creating meaningful, culturally responsive connections with the individuals and families she supports. Lara has a special interest in working with children with autism, as well as supporting expressive and receptive language, articulation, and motor speech development. She enjoys using play-based and structured approaches to build communication in ways that feel natural and empowering. She believes in meeting each client where they are at, following their lead, and helping communication grow through connection and trust.

Margarida Ferreira

Margarida Ferreira is a dedicated and compassionate Speech and Language Therapy Assistant and Resource Consultant with over 20 years of experience supporting children’s communication, social-emotional development, and overall development. She has extensive experience working with children with a variety of support needs, collaborating with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to promote inclusive, developmentally responsive environments. Margarida is passionate about creating engaging, play-based learning experiences that honour each child’s unique strengths and needs, ensuring they feel empowered and understood. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from York University, along with an Early Childhood Education diploma and a post-diploma certificate in Advanced Studies in Special Needs from Humber Polytechnic. Her additional certifications include Hanen’s Learning Language and Loving It, Teacher Talk Series, and 4 I's to Socialize, as well as Circle of Security, Triple P Parenting, and the Incredible Years program, further enriching her ability to support families and educators in building strong foundations for children’s success and development.

Nadia Zazzarino is a Registered Early Childhood Educator with over 20 years experience working with children with special needs and their families. Nadia studied at Humber College where she received diploma in Early Childhood Education and a certificate in Advanced Studies for Child with Special Needs. In 2008, Nadia completed a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Early Childhood Education and Family Support Program at Ryerson University. Nadia has been working in the field of Early Childhood Education since 2001. She has extensive experience working in various roles and settings. Nadia has provided support to children in childcare settings and in specialized nursery school programs; she has provided one on one support to children with disabilities and to their families and caregivers, to assess intervention to best suit the needs of the children. Nadia’s work with children has been in the areas of speech and language, behaviour modification, and supporting social, emotional and developmental concerns. Nadia employs a client-centered and collaborative approach when working with children and their families. She believes that early intervention is an integral part of fostering children’s overall well-being and success. In her work with children, she promotes children’s strengths through learning, skill development and positive communication which helps children to grow and thrive.

Abishana Manoharan

CDA

Abishana is a Communicative Disorders Assistant who is passionate about supporting individuals and families through meaningful, functional communication. She works under the supervision of a registered Speech-Language Pathologist to provide engaging, evidence-based therapy tailored to each client’s unique strengths and goals. Abishana has experience supporting children with speech sound disorders, language delays, social communication needs, and AAC use. She values collaboration with families and believes that therapy is most effective when it is fun, motivating, and rooted in real-life communication. Abishana is dedicated to creating a supportive environment where clients feel confident, understood, and empowered to communicate.

Maureen Sahar is a PhD Candidate at the University of Guelph. She has been helping Nima since the clinic first opened in 2017 as an administrative and clinic assistant. Over the years, Maureen has developed a strong passion for supporting children and families, particularly those with autism spectrum disorder, and values creating a welcoming, supportive environment for every client. Alongside her work at the clinic, her academic research focuses on applying data-driven and biological approaches to improve animal health and nutrition. Maureen brings a thoughtful, patient-centered approach to her role and is dedicated to helping each parent and child feel comfortable, confident, and supported.

Lock-Nova Theriault

Administrative Assistant

Lock-Nova holds a degree in Linguistics, with a focus on phonetics, articulation, dialect coaching, and second language acquisition. They are fluent in English, French, and Korean, and have worked across multiple language systems throughout their academic career. Nova has experience as a linguistics teaching assistant and language tutor, supporting students in language development, speech and diction . Their professional background also includes administration and project management, as well as managing operations within military institutions, bringing a strong foundation in organization and coordination. As Administrative Assistant, Lock-Nova supports the clinic’s daily operations and helps ensure a welcoming, efficient environment for both clients and staff.
